Security tools for NVMe and HDD drives
CurbSec is a small set of security tools for the drives themselves. NVMe and HDD each sanitize differently, and a wrong assumption is the difference between a clean drive and one that only looks clean.
What it does
The tools wrap drive sanitization into explicit workflows: pick the drive, pick the method, run it, and get a report. NVMe drives get the native format and crypto-erase paths, HDDs get the overwrite passes they still need.
Why it matters
Retiring a drive should not require remembering sector math at the bench. CurbSec makes the safe path the default one and proves the result instead of assuming it.
What it does
- Security tooling built around NVMe and HDD drives
- Sanitization workflows with confirmation the drive is clean
- Drive-by-drive status so nothing leaves the bench unverified
